Train and vehicle travel to the Corbett National Park.
The Corbett National Park is 246km due east of New Delhi. It takes about 6-7 hours by road, allowing for a lunch stop, and toll stops plus interstate vehicle tax payments.
We would recommend that you start from Delhi using a car or by train. We do not recommend anyone to drive in India; it is a totally different experience to driving anywhere else in the world. You need to be a specialist driver to survive!
The nearest railway station is Ram Nagar, which is 19km away from the Corbett Park. So you can catch the train from New Delhi, even better an overnight sleeper. Ask your tour operator for details and help with booking.
The temperature varies considerably depending on the time of year.
November to February 25 degrees C in the day to 4 degrees C. at night.
March to April 38 degrees C in the day to 10 degrees C at night.
May and June 45 degrees C in the day to 20 degrees C at night.
